The Jihye Yun Lab at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center (Genetics Department) focuses on unraveling the relationship between diet, metabolism, microbiome, and cancer, with an emphasis on discovering novel strategies for cancer prevention and treatment.
The ideal candidate must hold a doctoral degree in analytical chemistry or related disciplines and should possess extensive experience with LC-MS/MS instruments (accurate mass).
The candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge in the field of metabolism (preferably human and mammalian), including the identification and quantitative analysis of global metabolomics and isotope-labeled metabolomics. Additional experience in metabolic flux analysis and computational skills are preferred.
Candidates should be enthusiastic about collaborative and interdisciplinary research, motivated to work with team members, and demonstrate excellent scientific communication skills.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The individual will learn experimental methods and broaden their knowledge and experiences related to the study of dietary effects on colon cancer development using mice, cell lines, and organoids as model systems through metabolomics mass spectrometry. The trainee will also participate in professional development activities and collaborative projects.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
A Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry is required. Strong communication skills and publication records are preferred.

POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000. depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. MD Anderson trainee compensation also includes:
