Military Veterans Connection (MVC)
Founded in 2012, the Military Veterans Connection Employee Network was the first of its kind within the Texas Medical Center. Membership is open to all veterans, active duty, National Guard and reserve students and employees who have an interest in issues affecting veterans. Since its inception, MVC has contributed in many ways, including:
- Assistance in recruiting veterans into the organization
- Attendance with recruiters at multiple hiring events throughout the year
- A mentoring program for Service Member and Veteran employees
- Knowledge and resources for Veterans with questions about navigating, working and resources available at MD Anderson
- Input that helps us develop an appreciation of our veterans, active-duty service members, National Guard members and reservists
- A source for organizational change through proactive interactions, dialogue, education and collaboration
