Sr Applications Systems Analyst (DICOM)

The Senior Applications Systems Analyst is responsible for providing senior level technical production support and system administration to ensure optimum system performance and resolution of technical issues that impact the utilization of applications/systems throughout the institution, including the Enterprise Imaging Platform. The Senior Applications Systems Analyst provides technical expertise in defining, developing, implementing, and supporting solutions for business/clinical applications at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Systems Administration and Support
Administers and maintains systems supported by Imaging Technology Solutions. Ensures system availability, patient data reliability, security and integrity. Provides second level support for assigned applications.

Process Surveillance and Improvement
Analyzes and revises existing system master files and configuration to meet user, regulatory, division or institutional requirements. Devises or modifies operating procedures and workflow to solve complex problems taking into consideration system capacity, limitations and availability.

Technical Leadership
Provides technical expertise, leadership and direction for support of assigned application(s). Utilizes knowledge of information technology architecture and systems integration to support design decisions.

Mentorship
Acts as Team Lead and mentors junior staff members.

Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Experience Required:
Five years' experience in domain, analysis, design, project management, programming or Epic software. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.

Preferred Experience:
DICOM data migration experience
PACS workflow
Experience implementing and supporting custom developed applications in a healthcare environment.
