Research Assistant II

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Research Assistant II position is to provide technical and coordination skills in carrying out various research projects, to include coordinating procedures and performing technical laboratory duties in accordance with general and/or specific plans for the institution.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Strong applicants will have knowledge or skills in one or more of the following areas:
• Mouse handling & colony maintenance
• Tumor immunology & cancer immunotherapy
• In vivo mouse models
• Data analysis & interpretation
DUTIES
Maintaining mouse colonies (weaning, genotyping etc.) and assisting postdoctoral researchers with experiments, tumor models and murine disease models. Eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities associated with building a new lab and establishing yourself as a lab manager.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.
Preferred Education: Master's Level Degree.
Experience: One year experience in scientific or experimental research work. No experience required with preferred degree.
