Research Intern - Palliative,Rehab & Integrative Medicine

Dr. Cohen's Lab will offer several projects that the intern can choose to be involved with, according to their specific needs and interests. Common intern duties across projects include research and draft writing for a manuscript and/or a protocol; screening participants for a variety of research projects; participation in weekly intern/research and lab meetings; observation in two laboratories on campus; data organization (in excel and redcap databases); scientific presentation, and evaluation of multimodality data. The Lab offers the interns an overview f of the integrative medicine program at MDACC. Familiarizes the student with all the steps in developing a clinical research project, Grants, protocols, etc. and provides education and training in human research regulations. The internship with the integrative medicine program provides practical experience and participation in the coordination of clinical trials.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
-Participation and training in Grant Editing and formatting of citations for funding mechanisms.
-Participation in manuscript writing, editing and formatting of citations for submission to scientific journals
-Participation in trainee meetings to review and discuss current research relevant to Integrative Medicine research.
-Participate in data quality: data cleaning and data organization of various studies.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must hold a bachelor's or master's degree, obtained within 1 year of application.
Applicant must have previous research experience.
