Supervisor, Police Technical Support Services

The mission of The University of Texas M. D. The primary purpose of the Supervisor, Police Technical Services position is to provide administrative and intermediate-level managerial skills to effectively develop and ensure appropriate management of personnel. Oversees contract resources engaged in the institutional security systems. The role is accountable for technology related safety and security systems, providing input in the development and implementation of the organization's technology strategy. Oversees and directs the installation, testing, activation and preventative maintenance of burglar/panic alarm systems, video management systems, card access systems and other electronic security systems deployed at campus buildings/properties.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Assign and Monitor Performance Establishes priorities and evaluates performance of staff and contract resources responsible for the installation and maintenance of the institutional security systems.

Security System Hardware Sustainability Maintains work accountability, coordinates, and supervises the integration of campus wide security infrastructure and devices and provides structured repair request response, along with a developed preventative maintenance schedule.

Contract and Project Management Responsible for compliance and overall management of contracts related to the institutional security systems. Manages assigned projects of a highly diverse nature. Oversees all system acceptance and commissioning activities and documentation.

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience: Five years of project management experience, to include security and access control systems. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
