Senior Threat and Risk Analyst

Researches and configures systems/data from various sources related to threat/risk mitigations and investigations. Identifies technology, completes assessments, and identifies trends to enhance the safety and security of the institution. Works with institutional Behavioral Intervention Teams to assist in the resolution and monitoring of complex incidents. Assist with outreach efforts to educate on behavioral patterns and trends. Ensures information management procedures comply with federal, state and institutional policies.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Research and Analysis: Researches and configures systems/data from various sources related to security vulnerability, risk assessment and integration of security system design. Identifies risks/trends to design and implements mitigation action and strategies.

Teamwork: Leads team of Threat and Risk Analysts to implement solutions addressing threat/risk incidents or vulnerabilities. Assists with outreach efforts to educate on behavioral patterns and trends. Participates in analysis, design, project management, and application configuration programming of enterprise level security applications.

Compliance: Ensures information management procedures comply with federal, state and institutional policies. Develops and administers security standards and specifications to ensure compliance with current institutional security goals and objectives.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree.

Education Preferred: Master's degree

Experience Required: Seven years of experience in risk evaluation and analysis, threat assessments and analysis, law enforcement, general case investigations, behavioral intervention analysis, crisis management, security systems, or conflict resolution. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience.

Experience Preferred: With preferred degree, five years experience in risk evaluation and analysis, threat assessments and analysis, law enforcement, general case investigations, behavioral intervention analysis, crisis management, security systems, or conflict resolution.
