Postdoctoral Fellow - Sarcoma Medical Oncology (Ludwig Lab)

Our work covers a wide of interests that span from the pure basic sciences to the more translational research aspects that affect how sarcomas respond to biologically targeted therapies. Specifically interested in how tumor microenvironmental cues, particularly biophysical forces, and the extracellular matrix, regulate the spatial organization, phenotype, and differentiation state of cancer, with a major focus on how those parameters affect the sensitivity of high-grade bone and soft-tissue sarcomas to biologically targeted therapy.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The postdoctoral fellow should demonstrate a broad and detailed knowledge of Sarcoma research. Understand gaps, limits, and challenges such that they can develop testable hypotheses. Able to design sound research protocols, safely perform the techniques necessary to conduct and analyze data and navigate the grant application and scientific publishing processes. Demonstrate writing, speaking, and listening skills that enable them to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, the general public, and the media. Trained in responsible research conduct in order to make ethical and legal choices. Instructing to provide insight and appreciation of accepted research practices, regulations, policies, statutes, and guidelines, as well as awareness of available resources for reporting and seeking guidance for ethical questions and concerns. Own and share data and conduct research with human subjects and/or animals. Identify and mitigate research misconduct and conflicts of interest. Keep accurate records of research activities and findings.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Experience in cancer biology, epigenetics, and/or tissue engineering is preferred.
