We seek a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to work as a computational scientist in the laboratory of Dr Kunal Rai, in the Genomic Medicine Department at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. The position is focused on the discovery of cancer-driving epigenome networks by applying computational methods for the analysis of single-cell multiome and spatial transcriptomics and epigenomics (ATAC-Seq/CUT&Tag) datasets and integrate with complex high-dimensional omics datasets from tumor samples in different cancer types/malignancies. This position will also collaborate with a group of wet lab and computational scientists to derive novel biological insights and identify biomarkers and therapies.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Postdoctoral Fellow will develop and apply computational tools to gain insights from bulk single-cell and spatial epigenomic and transcriptomic data sets. They will learn to devise hypotheses, design analytical plans, and execute the strategy to perform innovative science. They will learn to work in multidisciplinary cross-functional teams within the lab and department of genomic medicine. They will also gain experience in grant writing and training junior scientists/students. Finally, suitable candidates will have the opportunity for leadership training.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Individuals with a Ph.D. degree in any discipline of biology, mathematics, or computation science. Candidate must have strong skills in statistics and programming, in particular R/Python, and interest in the application of state-of-the-art computational/statistical methods to complex data. Experience with analysis with epigenomic data single cell and spatial is highly desired. Being able to work in a team is a must.

POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000. depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. MD Anderson trainee compensation also includes:
