The primary purpose of the position is to perform laboratory experiments to evaluate therapeutic compounds, validate biomarkers, and develop disease models to translate and advance clinical therapeutics and biomarkers.
**This position is temporary and will not exceed 4 1/2 months**
KEY FUNCTIONS:
1.Conduct various laboratory experiments to advance external and internal translational programs and other project team activities.
2.Utilize genetic and pharmacologic tools to inform on biology that aids clinical development of therapeutics.
3.Implement various advanced histologic techniques, including IHC, multiplex IF, RNAscope, and special stains to identify and validate biomarkers of therapy response/resistance.
4.Perform tissue culture and molecular biology techniques to evaluate therapeutic strategies, develop disease models, and functionally define therapeutic biomarkers.
5.Utilize molecular and cellular biology knowledge to develop hypothesis-driven experiments to explore mechanistic biology that is translationally actionable.
6.Performs general laboratory duties including archiving of FFPE blocks and reagent preparation.
7.Under minimal supervision, design, execute, document and interpret experiments.
8.Analyze, prepare, and present data in project team and other internal meetings as needed.
9.Employ safe lab practices.
