SUMMARY
This position will provide support for grants and related projects for the MD Anderson Program for Reducing Cervical Cancer (PRCC). The primary focus for this role is to assist with PRCC ongoing activities and collect and report data for the research and educational activities of the program in Texas and globally. The PRCC includes several activities related to education/training/research to advance cervical cancer prevention strategies. These activities are located in Texas and globally. Additional activities include assisting with development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, reports and other activities for priority initiatives and tracking progress against milestones and deliverables. He/she will collaborate with PRCC team members in hosting meetings and stakeholder engagement activities and provide support for internal and external collaborators. He/she will conduct assessments and other data-gathering tasks. In addition, he/she will compile information, analyze options, and report results to project leaders, and assist with preparation of grant proposals, reports and other funding requests.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Support for Research and Training/Education Initiatives:
  • Provide support to Dr. Salcedo and team for infrastructure development including:
  • Plan and coordinate grant/study meetings and joint activities, prepare background information, invitations, and agendas, produce meeting summaries, track action items.
  • Provide support to project start-up and ongoing operations. Assist in tracking progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • Gather data and compile information, analyze options, and report results to project leaders.
  • Prepare progress reports and develop improvement strategies based on programmatic data.
  • Help build and maintain relationships with partners.
  • Support pre and post activities for cervical cancer prevention trainings.
  • Support activities during cervical cancer prevention trainings.


Administrative Support:
  • Develop, write, and update print and online materials for publicizing and promoting the different program initiatives.
  • Maintain and update the projects' website content.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership about all aspects of the studies, grants and programs.
  • Assist with preparation of progress reports, new grant proposals and other funding requests.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

Preferred Education:

Master's degree related to field or MD.

Required Experience:

Three years project/program coordination experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Education background in health, program coordination/administrative experience supporting activities in PRCC or other programs, NIH, grants, data collection, reporting, and bilingual in Spanish and English.

Work Schedule:

This position has a hybrid onsite/remote schedule which requires to work onsite a few days per week. Must be available from 7:00am- 4:00pm. Travel is required. Travel will vary in Texas and out of the country.
