A Research Intern position is available in the Department of Cardiology. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain specialized experience in onco-cardiology. Trainees will focus on learning about the cardiovascular care of oncology patients. Students will have the ability to do research that provides them insight into cardiovascular patients and expands their knowledge.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Utilize EMR to research patient histories, physical examinations, and formulating differential diagnoses and management plans under supervision, with a focus on onco-cardiology.
• Research & Presentations: Contribute to ongoing clinical research projects in onco-cardiology and present findings during departmental conferences.
• Professional Development: Seek feedback from mentors, set learning objectives, and reflect on progress throughout the rotation.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
• Graduation from an accredited undergraduate or medical school program.
• Knowledge in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology.
• A commitment to upholding professional ethics
