Research Assistant I - GI Radiation Oncology - Research

The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.

The primary purpose of the Research Assistant I position is to provide assistance in coordinating informatics and statistics-associated research projects; lead research projects under direct PI supervision and assist in patient screening for active clinical trials.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and aggregating data for meta-analytic purposes in biomedical research.
• Utilizes statistical software to manage and interpret research data effectively.
• Records and evaluates data in line with requested methodologies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with study protocols.
• Assesses patient eligibility for clinical trials by reviewing clinical criteria and relevant patient information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education
Required: Bachelor's degree, major course work in one of the basic sciences.

Required: No experience.
