Postdoctoral Fellow – Cancer Biology and Tumor Immunology

The Laboratory of Dr. Jeffrey N. Myers in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual for a postdoctoral fellow position. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively on research exploring immunosuppression mechanisms in oral cancer. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a tumor immunology project and presenting your findings under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. This role focuses on investigating the functional roles of p53 and Cdkn2a genomic alterations in oral tumor development. We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative researcher with a strong background in molecular biology, immunology, and mouse tumor models. The successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing research exploring how these genomic alterations drive the formation of immune-excluded, cold tumors that are resistant to current immunotherapies.
