Postdoctoral Fellow - Experimental Therapeutics (Zhang Lab)

A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, United States. This position reports to Dr. Rugang Zhang, Chair of the Department of Experimental Therapeutics.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to perform hands-on experiments to develop novel mechanism-guided precision therapeutic strategies to address unmet clinical needs in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) and to understand the role and mechanisms by which tissue aging influences cancer development and response to cancer therapy by studying cellular senescence. The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct experiments, perform data analysis, and prepare manuscripts in addition to attending lab meetings, journal clubs, and research seminars.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The Postdoctoral Fellow's primary research focus is to help the PI merge mechanistic insights with the translational objectives of experimental therapeutics and the accompanying stratifications of genetic biomarkers to address unmet clinical needs in ovarian cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will train, learn, and study design, data analysis, and manuscript writing.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Individuals with a PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology, genetics, immunology, or related fields with less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience with rodent studies is required for this role. Candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. A proven track record of publications and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000. depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. MD Anderson trainee compensation also includes:
