The post-doctoral position will involve basic and translational research in the area of brain tumor cell biology and mouse models of primary and metastatic brain cancer. There will be a particular emphasis on the brain microenvironment, including studies of how primary and metastic tumor cells co-opt the neurovascular unit/blood-brain barrier for selective growth and survival.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The postdoc will receive training and mentoring in the use of mouse models and in vitro culture systems to study cell adhesion and signaling pathways involved in tumor cell-stromal cell interactions. Biochemical, molecular genetical and cell biological techniques will also be emphasized.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
A strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology is required.
All applicants should have a PhD and/or MD as well as peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals.
