SUMMARY
Performs administrative support duties related to the collection of clinical and/or non-clinical research projects.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Education
• Serves as the Manning Lab communication liaison between the Manning Lab and the Department for external students/postdocs.
• Works with laboratory leadership to develop training materials for educational objectives
• Maintains metrics data for decisions concerning student/trainee learning outcomes.
• Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), updates evaluation tools to assess the quality of the educational experience and regularly gathers participant feedback.
• Compiles and evaluates educational program statistics and summaries as needed.
• Develops student/trainee recruitment and orientation materials. Seeks PI or Administrative Director, Research Program approval prior to utilization.
• Coordinates all Manning lab summer student experiences and chaperones through various systems.
• As requested, coordinates with the Department to assist non-U.S. citizen students/postdocs in the Manning lab with visa clearances or other pre-employment requirements.
Research
• Participates in inter- and intra-departmental research meetings and serves as a representative on select committees as requested.
• Provides operational support for clinical and/or non-clinical research activities.
• Assists researchers in the compilation of collected data and preparation of various research reports and manuscripts.
• Collaborates on research projects with members of the DI-TCR group and other clinical staff.
• Assists with data transfer, including preclinical and clinical imaging workflows, auto routing, and archiving.
Special Projects/Events
• Under the guidance of the PI, produces and oversees websites, social media content, and develops communication strategies to increase the visibility and awareness of Lab-based programs and initiatives.
• Creates and coordinates laboratory publicity and marketing materials
• Assists the Administrative Director, Research Program with the implementation of various Laboratory initiatives such as semi-annual and annual Retreat, research symposia, conferences, site visits, etc.
