The Ideal Candidate is a reliable and detail-oriented pharmacy technician with at least one year of experience in a hospital, infusion center, research, or retail pharmacy setting. They hold a high school diploma or equivalent and maintain an active Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP). This individual is skilled in medication preparation, inventory support, and patient service, and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They are prepared to successfully complete all required pre-employment skills testing and contribute to a high-quality specialty pharmacy team.
Working Hours: The working hours will be 9:30a to 6:00p. Monday through Friday.

Job Specific Competencies
Maintains Investigational Drug Accountability
- Performs daily audits of investigational drugs and supplies in assigned areas to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Identifies and resolves system discrepancies promptly.
- Manages appropriate inventory levels, including drug/supply replacement and evaluation of usage, stock levels, and reorder needs.
- Makes inventory adjustments as appropriate to maintain accurate stock.
Facilitates Inventory Management
- Assists with tracking drug returns, replacements, and expired inventory using departmental tools and databases.
- Continuously monitors inventory and quarantines expired or unusable stock.
- Notifies pharmacy and study sponsors of upcoming expiration dates and promotes the use of soon-to-expire items first.
- Supports the processes for drug returns and expired medication destruction in compliance with sponsor, institutional, state, and federal guidelines.
Maintains Regulatory Documentation
- Manages and maintains required protocol documentation in accordance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensures accurate completion and storage of shipment receipt documents, iDATA transactions, and supporting documentation (e.g., labels, production cards).

EDUCATION
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
- Two years of college credit
