The Senior Philanthropy Reporting Analyst role is part of the Philanthropy Reporting & Analytics team within Decision Science and Analytics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This team is responsible for building end-to-end analytics solutions that deliver actionable business insights, support data-driven decision-making, and provide empirical assessments of performance across institutional, divisional, and team levels related to constituent engagement and philanthropy. The Senior Philanthropy Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in translating complex data into meaningful reports and visualizations that directly support fundraising initiatives.

Salary Range - Minimum $77,500 - Midpoint $97,000 - Maximum $116,500

Responsibilities
Reporting and Dashboard Development
• Develop business intelligence reports, scorecards, and dashboards based on requested specifications
• Design, develop, and modify Power BI, Salesforce, Crystal, and Business Objects reports
• Support ad hoc data requests to meet divisional informational needs
• Schedule and distribute reports using Institutional Reporting Enterprise and SAP Business Intelligence
• Act as a champion for business intelligence benefits and promote BI adoption across the department
• Partner with internal customers to gather, validate, and document reporting requirements
• Develop and write business requirements for analytics and reporting solutions
• Identify and analyze commonly used queries and reports
• Research business problems and assist in creating analytical models to support decision-making

Data Analysis
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets
• Collaborate with team leaders and members to solve analytics problems
• Document analytical results, methodologies, and assumptions
• Apply iterative analysis processes and validate findings
• Perform experimental design approaches to test hypotheses
• Validate analysis using appropriate sampling methods
• Apply suitable algorithms to discover patterns and insights

End-User Training and Support
• Develop training materials for report and dashboard end users
• Provide technical support for reports, dashboards, and fundraising systems
• Support end users in resolving reporting and data visualization issues

Business Requirements and Analysis
• Support subject matter experts in gathering and validating stakeholder requirements
• Assist in developing and documenting business requirements for analytics solutions
• Analyze commonly used data sources and reports
• Research business problems and contribute to process documentation
• Assist with development of end-user training materials and delivery of training sessions

EDUCATION
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree In related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Required: 4 years In business analysis or related technical experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with Power BI, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SAP BI (Crystal Reports), SAP BI CMC and Tableau. Experience with Salesforce reporting. Experience working for advancement services or fundraising organizations.
