Program Manager Center for Cellular Language Intelligence

The Program Manager provides comprehensive operational support for the Center for Cellular Language Intelligence. This position manages the planning of the Center's portfolio of scientific programs and initiatives while also providing support to program operations, resource allocation, and event planning. The Program Manager collaborates with institutional leadership, faculty, researchers, and external partners to advance the Center's mission through cross-departmental leadership, program development, and operational excellence, ensuring the successful execution of strategic priorities and scientific activities. This position requires strong independent judgment and problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; concurrent management of projects; and ability to prioritize functions.

The ideal candidate will possess experience managing complex scientific or academic programs, coordinating high-level operations, and leading multi-faceted projects. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are highly desirable.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Center Program Management:
* Provides strategic and operational support for the Center for Cellular Language Intelligence by working with the Center leaders to develop, implement, and oversee administrative processes that support the Center's mission and long-term objectives.
* Manages the execution of strategic and operational plans, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities while promoting organizational growth and operational efficiency.
* Assist the Program director with budget planning and administration, monitors expenditures, manages procurement activities, and ensures compliance with institutional policies.
* Coordinates communications that promote the Center's research, educational programs, and strategic initiatives through institutional announcements, websites, newsletters, presentations, and marketing materials.
* Serves as the primary administrative liaison between the Director and institutional leadership, faculty, industry partners, funding agencies, and external collaborators.
* May supervise administrative staff and support personnel, comprising recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.

Program and Event Management:
* Plans, manages, and oversees the Center's portfolio of scientific meetings, symposiums, seminar series, workshops, retreats, advisory board meetings, and other special events.
* Coordinates all aspects of program logistics, involving speaker recruitment and scheduling, travel arrangements, venue management, audiovisual services, catering, registration, vendor coordination, and on-site event operations.
* Ensures successful execution of all Center-sponsored activities while maintaining high standards of quality, fiscal responsibility, and participant experience.

Operations Support:
* Provides high-level support to the Center Executive Director by managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, prioritizing competing responsibilities, and ensuring timely completion of strategic initiatives.
* Coordinates domestic and international travel, prepares detailed itineraries, and manages logistics for the Director, visiting faculty, collaborators, and advisory board members.
* Maintain confidential information and monitor critical deadlines, correspondence, reports, and other executive priorities.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's Degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Five years related experience to include three years program management. With Master's degree, three years experience required. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
