Program Coordinator - Emergency Medicine

The Program Coordinator supports mission-critical departmental functions that directly impact clinical operations, quality outcomes, patient experience, and revenue cycle performance. Working in partnership with the Program Manager, Quality Officers, Patient Experience Officers, and Medical Director, the role coordinates key departmental initiatives that support quality, safety, patient-centered care, operational excellence, and financial stewardship. The position serves as a central resource for the coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of quality improvement activities, patient experience programs, physician performance review processes, and billing-related initiatives.

Responsibilities include supporting Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) activities, quality improvement projects, performance metric monitoring, clinical quality initiatives, patient experience programs, trend analysis, and departmental reporting. The Program Coordinator also reconciles professional charges, resolves billing discrepancies in partnership with clinicians, and manages departmental work queues to support accurate charge capture and revenue cycle performance. Dedicated support for these functions is essential to maintaining departmental priorities; without this role, critical responsibilities would be absorbed by existing staff, increasing workload demands, burnout risk, turnover potential, and operational risks that could adversely affect quality, patient experience, billing accuracy, and clinical operations.

Seeking a proactive, self-starting professional who can quickly step in and manage Quality and Patient Experience initiatives with minimal training. The ideal candidate takes ownership, follows through, communicates proactively, and effectively manages multiple projects in a collaborative team environment. A bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of administrative experience are required; experience with quality and patient Experience initiatives and a master's degree are preferred.
