A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the department of Gastroenterology Research. This position is for a postdoctoral fellow with interest in prospective and retrospective clinical research in gastroenterology. The goal of this program is for the fellow to understand relevant clinical activities in gastroenterology in combination with research activities to create a foundation in clinical gastroenterology research. This position will include data analysis, manuscript writing, writing and/or revising IRB protocols and interacting or responding with our institutional IRB.
All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Enroll patients in research protocols
• Collaborate with PI and apply scientific expertise in gastrointestinal cancers to drive projects in a multidisciplinary environment
• Independently research the analysis of data in addition to keep abreast of current and emerging technological and scientific advancements in the field
• Assist with the preparation of IRB protocols, research grants, manuscripts and grant reports
• Ensure that relevant data is collected and entered into database(s) and reported, as required
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
A degree in Medicine and has completed a clinical residency or fellowship in Medicine or Surgery, with serious interest in research in gastroenterology.
POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000. depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
