College Student - Strategic Communication- Video Services

Video Production/Post Production position

A college student position is available in the department of strategic communications. The primary purpose of this position is to learn about healthcare strategic communications and support the University of Texas MD Anderson's digital communications through development of content for the web, social media and intranet.

All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Videography and Editing: Under the direction and supervision of Strategic Communications professionals, create a professional b-roll package using supplied professional camera equipment. Perform pre-production planning, equipment preparation, filming and editing to produce a reel of usable footage. Incorporates learnings related to UT MD Anderson's video guidelines, equipment operation, best practices and institutional branding.

2. Communications Presentation: Identify and complete a presentation summarizing findings of an independent digital communications research project or competitive analysis. Project may be self-originated or assigned, based on agreement with supervisor.

3. Other duties as assigned. Attends some business meetings and may accompany Strategic Communications professionals and assist on photography or video shoots.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and enrolled in a degree-granting college or university with a major in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Radio/Television, or a related discipline.

Offsite work arrangements are subject to approval and may be modified or revoked at any time based on business needs, performance considerations, or regulatory requirements.
