The Advanced Practice Provider Radiation Oncology role plays a key part in this outpatient setting, supporting patients through all phases of treatment within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical settings, demonstrating strong communication abilities, emotional intelligence, and a proactive approach to patient care. This individual is adaptable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning while maintaining a high level of clinical competence.
Minimum $56.49 - Midpoint $70.43 - Maximum $84.86

Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Management
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and ongoing patient assessments
• Identify and manage urgent patient care concerns in a timely manner
• Evaluate unscheduled patients and coordinate appropriate referrals
• Assess and manage treatment-related side effects of radiation therapy
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and monitor individualized care plans
• Order diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with established guidelines
Patient Care Coordination
• Support patients before, during, and after radiation therapy treatment
• Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
• Document consultations, follow-ups, and treatment summaries accurately
Team Support & Collaboration
• Participate in onboarding and precepting new Advanced Practice Provider team members
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and multidisciplinary care teams
EDUCATION
Required:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice. May be waived for applicants who obtained recognition as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from the Texas State Board of Nursing prior to 1/1/2003.
Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
Physician Assistant
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), except for Physician Assistants who graduated from a PA program prior to 2013.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred: One year of experience in Advanced Practice Provider role.

Physician Assistant

PA certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
Licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.
